According to The Big Read, the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books on their list.
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicise those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them
( Let's see how an English major measures up )
49. I feel positively literate. But I read more than 6 of these in highschool English, so I don't believe the introductory paragraph.

i'm going to make clear my express wishes to you all right now and if it comes down to it, i expect you all to testify for me:
if something happens to me within the next ten years or whatever (kidnapping, murder, etc), I do NOT want the media hogs getting hold of anything on this livejournal. if they find my okcupid or my other livejournal or my forums accounts or ANYTHING, try to figure out which password i used (there's only three or four) and shut it down for me. cnn, crimelibrary, fuck off.
i've been reading www.mydeathspace.com and it seems extremely ignorant to me that so many times the mass media talks about TROUBLESOME TEENS and IF SOMEONE ONLY KNEW
well, a lot of people know. nobody DOES anything about it, and most teenagers deal with the same shit on a daily basis anyway.
so if i'm murdered or kidnapped or shot or raped or i commit suicide (or attempt autoerotic asphyxiation and fail), then it's your job to sue the hell out of the media if they publicize this.
